Copilot is a tool developed by Microsoft that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to improve productivity and customer experience across the organization. The solution can turn natural language into a powerful productivity tool, helping organizations to leverage the value of data in various productivity tools, such as Microsoft 365 and business applications.
In 2023, Microsoft introduced Copilot for Dynamics 365, the first AI copilot specifically created for CRM and ERP. Since then, more than 130,000 organizations have experienced Copilot’s capabilities in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. According to data provided by Microsoft, 70% of Copilot users were more productive, 73% completed tasks faster, and 68% improved the quality of their work.
The tool is also available for Power Platform, Business Central, and Dynamics 365 Finance. In Power Platform, Copilot can help developers create applications more quickly and with higher quality. In Business Central, it collaborates with users to be more productive and efficient in their daily tasks, while in Dynamics 365 Finance, it can help users make better financial decisions.
“Copilot is a major milestone in the evolution of Dynamics 365. By deeply integrating AI into CRM and ERP applications, it is transforming the way organizations work. It simplifies daily operations, saves steps, and empowers data-driven and AI-powered decision-making,” comments Rodrigo Fernandes, Business Development and Marketing Manager at AW, a company with 30 years of experience in technology.
With the goal of unlocking the value of multiple record systems in organizations, Microsoft announced new Copilot experiences at the Microsoft Ignite 2023 event. These experiences include updates for Dynamics 365, such as Copilot for Service and Copilot for Sales.
– Copilot for Service aims to increase productivity by integrating with the daily tools used by field service professionals. This feature allows users to quickly access the information they need in the field, as well as create work orders and schedule technicians with AI assistance. New financial and inventory data flow capabilities have also been introduced between Dynamics 365 Service and Dynamics 365 Finance.
– Copilot for Sales focuses on improving the sales experience by interacting with data using natural language. Salespeople can get contextual information and recommendations for leads and opportunities using their own words. In addition, Copilot for Sales introduces a new full-screen view where salespeople can get a quick understanding of customers, deals, meetings, forecasts, and more. This feature will be available in North America in December, after its launch in Asia and Europe.
Microsoft has expanded Copilot’s capabilities in other areas. For example, in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights, marketing professionals can quickly generate customer profiles and key insights using Copilot. A partnership with Optimizely has also been established to allow users of Dynamics 365 Customer Insights to build personalized campaigns in real time without writing code.
“The most exciting thing about all of this is that this is just the beginning. Microsoft has a pretty aggressive roadmap for Copilot, and this puts Dynamics and the Microsoft ecosystem several steps ahead of the competition,” concludes Rodrigo Fernandes.
